Important News:

At Lakeside Cemetery and our sister cemeteries we recently changed our rules and regulations, and these changes may enable you to:

1) Save a substantial amount of money on at-need or pre-need cremation burial space at any of our cemeteries.  In fact, you may even be eligible for FREE burial space.

2) Have the cremated remains of your domestic pet(s) buried with you in our cemetery.

Calm. Peaceful. Tranquil.
These are just a few of the words that can only begin to capture the feeling you get at Lakeside Cemetery – where a recent "renaissance" restored the beauty of this historic Southtowns treasure. Your visit begins as you drive through the brick and wrought iron gates on Camp Road, and see the stately Lakeside Mausoleum and our beautiful new Peace Mausoleum, as well as the Field of Valor® for veterans. Many people are surprised to learn that this section is just one small area of Lakeside. Keep driving through the quiet forest, and the woods that surround you on both sides will soon open up to reveal the rest of Lakeside's 200-plus acres. Here, you will find monuments that date back to the late 1800s, as well as modern lawn-level and upright markers. You will find many affordable traditional and cremation burial options designed to match your needs. Most importantly, you will find a sense of peace as you walk among the rolling hills, winding paths, beautiful lake and gazebo, untouched forests, and other stunning features of our unique landscape.

Attention U.S. Military Veterans...

The Field of Valor® is an area that allows for distinguished burial for veterans and spouses.

Lakeside Cemetery is one of just three local cemeteries where veterans’ graves are marked with distinctive white marble memorials, which are provided by the Government at no charge. These white marble monuments, featured in row after row across Laekside's grassy meadows, create our Field of Valor®, similar to the veterans’ memorials of Arlington National Cemetery near our nation’s capital.

Each Memorial Day and Veterans Day, the graves in the Field of Valor are decorated with U.S. Flags - a fitting tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The Field of Valor® features a flagpole, as well as monuments paying tribute to the service and sacrifice of WNY residents in World War I and World War II.  The Field of Valor® accommodates both casketed and cremated burials.
