Every life is different. At Lakeside, we understand, and we want you to be able to celebrate each individual in the most meaningful way. Whether you choose a simple engraved granite marker or an intricate sculpture, the choice truly is yours. In fact, as you journey through Lakeside, you will see the nearly endless ways in which previous generations have chosen to honor their loved ones. Regardless of how you say it, the message is the same – “We will always remember you.”
At Lakeside (unlike other cemeteries), we do not restrict your choices to standard “cookie cutter” monuments or flat square or rectangular markers. Our sections are specifically designed around the natural grounds, and we encourage you to add to the beauty of the landscape with a memorial that reflects your life. We do require that materials used outdoors must obviously be durable and weather-resistant, as well as conform to other policies available at the Lakeside office.
Here are just a few of the memorials that people have chosen at Lakeside:
- A traditional stone, in nearly any size or shape, either rising above ground or at lawn level
- A white marble U.S. government memorial stone for veterans in our Field of Valor
- A bronze plaque
- A favorite plant or tree
- A flower garden
- A stone bench
Please be advised there is a concrete foundation fee for all memorials, and for upright memorials there will be a one-time maintenance fee. Also, urns affixed to monuments are not allowed without a trust fund.
Note: The type of memorial allowed is dependent on the size, location, and memorial designation of the lot.
